Character:

Nat is the owner/operator of the Peach Pit, and a co-owner of the After Dark. He was a best friend to the entire gang, parents included. He had a heart attack and almost sold the Pit, but the gang saved it. He was a movie actor in the sixties. Steve discovered Jonie, an actress he knew then that was the love of his life, and brought them back together. They eventually got married and had a child.
